ST Advisors screened close to 1,000 potential M&A targets for Briggs, discussed 150 with management, had conversations with 75 organizations and then brought only a dozen, highly-qualified, targets to the Briggs team for detailed discussions. Ultimately, we found a fit with Selman-Holman & Associates and helped close the transaction.
After a Strategic Assessment indicated the time was optimal to recapitalize the business, ST Advisors identified and helped evaluate six potential investment banks and then worked alongside the selected firm throughout the process, working with all parties to help keep all interests aligned and ensure a smooth and worry-free transaction. basys was recapitalized by Windrose WindRose Health Investors in July 2017.
Over the course of nine years, ST Advisors worked with two successive CEOs of NTSP to help them grapple with multiple strategic issues around growth, developing a subsidiary technology company, transaction support, and ultimately identified a banker and co-advised on the sale of NTSP.
ST Advisors interviewed 15+ subject matter experts and conducted a thorough competitive analysis across multiple vendor segments, reviewed competitive positioning, and estimated revenue potential for each target market. Our work served as the foundation for Diameter’s go-forward strategy.
In addition to ongoing advice and coaching, ST Advisors supported FORE’s co-founders in evaluating potential strategic investors, assessing competitive threats, and meeting potential distribution partners. When one potential partner expressed unsolicited interest in acquiring FORE, we helped both sides structure and close a successful purchase.
ST Advisors developed a detailed acquisition framework for Vocera, screening over 150 potential acquisition targets, and eventually focused Vocera’s attention on fewer than 30 primary targets. We ultimately elevated a potential partnership conversation to an acquisition discussion and helped both sides reach consensus on timing, structure, and value to close a successful transaction.
After receiving inbound acquisition interest, Defran System’s CEO retained us to serve as her M&A coach and trusted advisor. We selected an investment banker and, because ST Advisors enjoyed a strong relationship with the acquiring company’s board and management team, were able to act as the “voice of reason” throughout the process, helping both parties get to yes and close a mutually beneficial transaction.
ST Advisors reviewed the industry trends affecting this Release of Information vendor and then helped it evaluate its core strengths and competencies. We proceeded to identify both service extensions and new markets, evaluating each to identify the opportunities and potential partners. This work served as the cornerstone of IOD’s long-term growth strategy.
ST Advisors supported the CEO of Clairvia in expressing its value proposition to potential partners and with ongoing assessment of goals and strategic options. We ultimately engaged the appropriate investment bank, and served as co-advisor, bringing our transaction experience and strategic perspective to counsel the CEO throughout the sale of Clairvia to Cerner.
