Founded in 2006, QGenda is a leading innovator in enterprise healthcare workforce management. The company offers solutions for credentialing, scheduling for physicians, nurses, and staff, on-call scheduling, room and capacity management, time tracking, compensation management, and workforce analytics. Backed by Francisco Partners and ICONIQ Capital, QGenda serves over 45 medical specialties across more than 4,000 organizations.

Engagement

ST Advisors was engaged in January 2021 to act as QGenda’s outsourced EVP of Business Development and the team’s trusted corporate development partner. Participating as an integral member of the executive leadership team, ST Advisors helped the company develop its inorganic growth goals, identifying strategic adjacencies and solidifying financial evaluation criteria before undertaking a proprietary, thesis-driven research process to curate a content-rich slate of candidate companies that matched the company’s strategic goals. From a universe of ~2,000+ companies (given the broad strategic focus), ST Advisors was able to efficiently narrow the target list to the top-tier matches for management review. After agreeing on the best approach, ST Advisors contacted the target companies to determine strategic fit and level of interest and facilitated introductions and discussions.

Results

ST Advisors worked as an extension of QGenda’s executive team for close to 2 years, through the identification, diligence, and close of two successful (and proprietary) acquisitions. QGenda acquired CredentialGenie on August 18, 2021 and Schedule360 on November 16, 2021. Throughout the entire process of both acquisitions, ST Advisors brought its Outsider Perspective. Insider KnowledgeSM and collaborative approach to both the QGenda team and the counterparties.
