For example, through a Strategic Assessment engagement, your leadership team may request ST Advisors’ assistance to:

  • Guide a critical business decision, such as when to enter a new market or whether to continue to invest in a particular product
  • Assess and expand a company’s understanding of its competitive landscape with an eye toward strategic M&A
  • Create an impactful company overview to concisely and effectively express your company’s value proposition to outside audiences
  • Evaluate liquidity or sale considerations, such as when to enter the market; valuation strengths and concerns; likely value drivers; and potential acquirers, as well as other aspects of a potential transaction
  • Join a management off-site discussion or retreat to bring needed (and objective) perspective

Focused and Actionable Deliverables

Strategic Assessment engagements are generally less research-driven than our more comprehensive Strategic Analyses, which are primarily intended to address enterprise-level growth strategies through in-depth evaluation of opportunities, markets, and competitive dynamics. Where a Strategic Analysis usually takes up to four months and involves a comprehensive slide deck deliverable, a Strategic Assessment typically produces a highly focused company overview, or 5- to 10-page memorandum, in approximately two to four weeks.
